Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme in Jharkhand - Enhancing Higher Education

Jharkhand government has started a plan to improve higher education. Under the Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme for Academic Excellence, 1,000 local students will receive Rs. 25,000 each month to pursue PhD studies. The government will also give Rs. 2 lakhs for presenting research papers abroad.

The Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme for Academic Excellence aims to support 1,000 talented students with Rs. 25,000 every month. Students who pass exams like UGC NET, CSIR NET, or have a GATE qualification can apply for PhD programs and receive this support.

Those who pass the JET will receive Rs. 22,500 per month. The government also announced encouragement funds for submitting research papers to the top 500 universities worldwide.

Students from Jharkhand who pass eligibility tests will receive Rs. 22,500 per month. Under the CM Fellowship Scheme, there’s also an incentive for presenting papers related to PG or other higher education courses abroad. For presenting papers in any other state within the country, the government will provide up to Rs. 50,000.

Only local students studying in Jharkhand’s public and private colleges and universities will benefit from this plan. Applicants must be residents of Jharkhand. The distribution of fellowship seats will follow the state government’s quota and reservation provisions.
